You agree to the practices described in these terms and conditions by using and accessing Lend & Trend. This agreement between the client and Lend & Trend is enforceable by law. These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice from Lend & Trend.

01 BOOKINGS
Bookings are only confirmed once payment is received. Bookings are made via website. Payment instructions are provided at the time of booking. A standard rental period is 4 days. We can possibly extend this period if discussed prior. Bookings are only confirmed once full payment and booking is made. The garment will not be available for pickup or postage until processed on my end. Fit and sizing problems are not Lend & Trend’s responsibility. Before hiring, we advise scheduling a try-on appointment or carefully checking size charts. Incorrect fits will not result in shop credits or refunds. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your desired garment and rental dates.
02 TRY-ON APPOINTMENTS
Try on appointments can be booked via our website or by contacting us directly by DM’s to arrange a different and more personal time made to the best of my ability. Try on appointments are available at our location in Buddina, Sunshine Coast. A fee will apply for any try-on appointment and to secure your selected time slot. For unsuccessful try-ons, missed appointments, or cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the appointment, try-on deposits are not refundable. Appointments are subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance. Garments tried on are for sizing purposes only and will not be reserved without FULL booking and payment. Availability at try-ons is not guaranteed. We will get in touch with you to reschedule or cancel your appointment if the item you’re interested in becomes unavailable prior to it, and your money will be fully refunded.
03 LOCAL PICKUPS & RETURNS
Hired garments are allowed to be collected from our location in Buddina, Sunshine Coast (4575). The exact address will be sent once booking is confirmed. On the day the hire period begins, pickups will be available with a confirmed pickup time, scheduled with me beforehand. Hires can possibly be picked up a day earlier, if the garment does not have another booking. Garments are to be returned by 6pm on the specified return date to the same pickup location (Buddina, Sunshine Coast), unless discussed otherwise. Weekend rentals are expected to be back 6pm Monday. If not returned by agreed date a daily late fee will be charged. It is expected that every hire will return on schedule. There will be a $10 late fee for each day the garment is not returned if you are late returning your rental. You will be charged the entire hiring fee for the following hire if your late return affects another booking.
04 POSTAGE
Postage is sent via Australia Post Express and is an extra expense on top of the hire and dry cleaning costs. This is calculated at checkout. Delivery delays, loss, or damage are NOT the responsibility of Lend & Trend. Refunds are not available from Lend & Trend for orders that are delayed by Australia Post. Two to three business days prior to your event, all postal rentals are shipped. To account for possible delays, we advise hiring a garment 1-2 days prior to your event. Please make sure the given address has a secure drop-off location. If the package is not delivered on time because Australia Post is unable to deliver it in a safe location, Lend & Trend is not liable. If the wrong address is given, we are not liable for the rental. You will be responsible for replacing the item and paying any further costs if the garment disappears after Auspost has delivered your order. It is the clients duty to estimate and factor enough time for their hires arrival. To avoid garments that are unavailable, delayed, or late, please submit postal orders in advance. You run the danger of garments not arriving to last-minute postal hires in time.
04 POSTAGE RETURNS
Returns are required to be shipped by: WEEKEND HIRES (COB MONDAY), WEEKDAY HIRES (COB of final day of hire period or one day after latest, if discussed). Please utilise the extra pre-paid envelope that is included, which is within the original mailer, to return postal orders. Each hire comes with postal instructions. Since mailers are pre-paid and the client is responsible for keeping track of them, lost or misplaced mailers will not be refunded. Returns must be made over the counter at the Australia Post Office that is closest to you, either in person or as a LAST RESORT in the YELLOW Auspost express box. DO NOT PLACE IN THE RED AUSPOST BOX. Please let us know in advance if you will not be able to return the package over the counter. You will be responsible for the full rental cost if it impacts another rental and/or the related late fees if you put the package in the red Ausbox by accident and it is lodged late. Please be aware that placing the package in the yellow Auspost express box requires it to be lodged before the time specified on your individual express postage box. Additionally, you take full responsibility for any loss if the package is not scanned and is misplaced by Australia Post, and you will have to pay for a replacement garment(s) on top of the previously paid hire fee. For garments that are incorrectly lodged after the mandatory rental return date for postal hires, late fees will be charged. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions’ late fees section.
05 CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS & STORE CREDIT
We strictly prohibit refunds, and all payments made to Lend & Trend are final. This does not include faulty items or the event that Lend & Trend must cancel your hire because of unforeseen circumstances. You can be eligible for full store credit if you cancel your hire minimum 7 days prior to the hire period. After the event date, refunds are not available. Changes of mind or problems with sizing are not eligible for store credits or refunds. To make sure you are satisfied with the item, we advise scheduling a try-on appointment. Items that are faulty or unwearable will be refunded in accordance with our policies.
06 CHANGE OF MIND
The difference will not be refunded if you switch to a garment with a lower hire value. There are no change of minds for postal hires. Change of minds are not eligible for store credits.
07 GARMENT CARE & DAMAGES
The customer is responsible for paying any additional fees if the item is returned in poor or damage condition. Lend & Trend retains the right to charge the full replacement value (RRP) of the item if it is irreparably damaged. The customer has the right to keep the garment in the same condition as when they received it. The customer is responsible for paying the return shipping charges for the rental. This is not inclusive of the hire fee. The client is responsible for any lost income resulting from damages that impact future hires, in addition to the cost of repairs or replacement. This covers any bookings that must be cancelled or refunded due to the state of the garment after it has been hired. All garments must be handled with the utmost care and attention when being hired. The actions listed above in Garment Care & Damages, must be followed in the event of any damage that arises during your rental, including but not limited to rips and tears, missing buttons, broken zips, detached stitching, permanent/irreversible stains, or alterations. This liability includes all damages, regardless of whether they result from negligence, accidents or disregard for Lend & Trend’s garment care guidelines.
From the moment of pick-up to the moment of return, the client bears complete responsibility for the garments. Any damages, losses, or theft of the garments while in the clients possession will be the clients responsibility. Every single piece that Lend & Trend has is used for hiring purposes. This indicates that other customers have worn our pieces. Even while Lend & Trend strives to maintain the highest standards of garment quality, small indications of wear and tear are always noted before hiring. The client must use extreme caution when handling and wearing the garment. We advise the client to exercise caution around food, beverages, jewellery, makeup, fake tanning, rough surfaces, and any bags that could drag or scratch delicate materials. We suggest clutches and bags made of smooth materials, such as leather, velvet, or satin. If you want a bedazzled purse/clutch, be sure there aren’t any heavy embellishments, sequins, or studs on the rear side that could harm or pull the fabric. Before every hire, we take pictures of the clothing to record its condition. After receiving the garment, clients must examine it. Within the day of receiving the garment, you must notify us of any defects that were not previously noted. The client shall be liable for the state of the garment(s) upon return if they do not report within this time range. The client must notify Lend & Trend right away if any damages arise during the hire time. If the garment is damaged beyond repair, there may be additional costs for repairs or a complete replacement.
08 CLEANING
Your hire price includes cleaning, and by hiring from us, you agree to the fact that no effort will be made to clean, alter, iron, or press the garment or garments you have rented. Please be aware that items that can easily ruin clothing include, fake tanning, makeup, drinks, food, textured handbags, and jewellery. You will be responsible for paying for any further cleaning that is needed once the dress has been returned and inspected. Please refer to the section on garment care a damages if the dress is damaged. DO NOT attempt to wash/clean the dress yourself.
